About Heartfelt for Life
Strengthening Your Heart
Many experts agree that physical activity leads to a healthier heart. And it doesnt matter much if the activity is part of a structured exercise program or just part of a persons daily routine. But where to start? This first-of-its-kind at-home fitness program — made especially for people who have had a heart attack — is designed to help people improve their heart health. Welcome to Heartfelt for Life: Strengthening Your Heart.
Before beginning this or any program, you should speak with your doctor about your individual needs and limits. Your doctor also can provide you with more information on medications that may protect and strengthen your heart.
The Heartfelt for Life DVD program provides a variety of activities people can do daily — at home or at the office — to help strengthen their hearts and reduce their risk of a future heart attack. It also covers the overall benefits that physical activity and other treatment options can have on achieving and maintaining heart health.
The program was developed by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Bob Greene along with experts from Cedar-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. The program offers useful information to help you take control of your heart health, including:
- The risk factors for heart disease, which can lead to a heart attack
- Steps you can take to help protect your heart against another attack
- How to talk to your health care provider about appropriate treatments
- Daily activities that can help you reduce the risk of a future heart attack
Free, educational seminars featuring the Heartfelt for Life: Strengthening Your Heart DVD program are happening across the country. Be sure to check the schedule of seminars and additional program information found on this Web site.
